Council Tax - request to change monthly payments

If you are currently paying your Council Tax bill by Direct Debit and would like to make a change to your payment dates or the number of instalments that your bill is paid over, please use our Direct Debit form. You can also use that form to set up a Direct Debit to pay your Council Tax.

If you pay your bill by any method other than Direct Debit, you can use this form to:

• Change your monthly payment date – you can choose either the 5^th or 15^th of the month

• Choose to pay over 10 or 12 months (if this differs from what is showing on your annual bill)

However, the Council has a duty to protect public funds and may use certain Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax data in cross-system and cross-authority comparison checks for the prevention and detection of fraud. This may include, but is not limited to, matching Council Tax data with Electoral Registration and the residency records of other organisations.

The Council may disclose relevant information to other Council departments where it is necessary and lawful to do so for the provision of services. We may also share information with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds.
